Mercedes currently unveiled its SLS AMG in Black Series. This Mercedes SLS in Black series becomes a great car and it is encouraged by the GT3 racing model of the Gullwing. Additionally, this car is lighter than the base model. The company has said that this car will have an improved driving dynamics. It comes with 5.49 lb/hp and only 3,417 pounds.
Under the hood, you will be provided with the AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine, that increases 622 hp at 7,400 rpm and 468 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 rpm. Meanwhile, the acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is reached just in 3.5 seconds with the top speed at 196 mph. The SLS Black can bring the power up to the rear wheels through an electronically-controlled rear-axle differential and a AMG SPeedShift DCT 7-speed transmission. Additionally, you can get extra power with the refined high-speed valve train along with altered camshafts, and modified the cam geometry. Mercedes-Benz has also enhanced the bucket tappets which now bring a unique coating which is usually employed for racing cars. The altered re-mapped ECU and intake systemwill also help you to get an extra power.
From now on, a more CFRP or the carbon-fiber reinforced plastic in the special Black version have been employed. Meanwhile, the rear panel at the back of the diagonal braces on the underbody and the torque tube flanked by the transmission and the engine , the AMG sports bucket seats and the Gullwing’s hood are now made in carbon materials. Furthermore, the SLS Black will come with a wider track, an altered suspension, currently expanded Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 sports tires, new aerodynamics and speed-sensitive steering.
As far as the engine is concerned, you will get Alcantara upholstery in the interior along with a sound system from Bang & Olufsen BeoSound completed with 11 speakers and a 1000-watt amplifier. Unfortunately, the price of this SLS AMG Black hasn’t been revealed yet, but the company has said that it will be sold starts at the summer of the next 2013.
